Intel
Corporation introduced the Intel Atom product family S1200, including
the first low-energy 64-bit server system on a chip for high-density and
mikrostrežnike for a new class of energy-efficient storage systems and
networking. Microprocessors
have low power and provide key opportunities for the reliable operation
of servers, management, and cost-effectiveness.
Family
Intel Atom S1200 is the first low-energy system on a chip, which
provides options for data centers, which provides server-level security
and management options. It also allows the reduction of the total cost. The system on a chip includes two physical cores and four even with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. In
addition, it also includes 64-bit support, a controller for up to 8 GB
DDR3 memory, Intel Virtualization Technologies (Intel VT), 8 signaling
pathway, PCI Express 2.0, support for debugging, improving reliability,
and other input / output interfaces, integrated with Intel chipsets. New product family will consist of three processors with frequencies between 1.6 GHz and 2.0 GHz.
Products Intel Atom S1200 compatible with x86 software, which is currently used data centers. This
allows for easy integration of new equipment with low power consumption
in existing environment and eliminates the need for additional
investments in transmission software to new platforms and maintenance.
New milestones energy efficiency
Intel develops products that reduce energy consumption, ensuring maximum energy efficiency systems. Since
the launch of low-energy processors Intel Xeon 2006 company presented
each year to a new generation of processors with low power consumption. Thanks
to Intel's advanced 22-nanometer technology, the company has based
processors with lower cooling requirements (TDP), which have declined
since 2006 from 40 to 17 watts in 2012. Family
Intel Atom S1200 is the first system on a chip with low power
consumption, providing server option to point TDP only 6 watts.
Prices and availability
Intel Atom S1200 is available for a suggested starting price of 54 USD for 1000 units.
